A CNC two-axis spinning machine that necks down (shrinks) the ends of copper and aluminum tubes, with automatic feeding and unloading.
This spin-shrinking machine rolls down the end of copper and aluminum tubes to a reduced diameter — commonly used to form the nozzle end of a tube before further processing. Beyond periodically topping up the feed hopper by hand, the full cycle runs automatically: feeding, clamping, spinning and unloading.
The machine is built around a welded, stress-relieved frame, a hydraulic hollow rotary spring chuck on the power spindle, and a two-axis (X/Y) CNC-controlled spinning head. The X-axis platform runs on precision square linear guides and a ball screw driven by a servo motor, giving repeatable control of the spinning head's position; a positioning core rod centers each workpiece and sets the finished inner diameter of the necked section, and is easily swapped to suit different tube sizes. Blank tubes are fed in cut-to-length or with one end already threaded; the finished workpiece is exported to a discharge trough automatically.
The control system runs full origin detection and limit-alarm monitoring on both axes, supports automatic, manual and inching operation modes, can store up to 200 user programs, and counts finished parts automatically.
